Featured Replies

I'm just about to start work in Omnoi Nakhon Pathom so if anyone has any recommendations on ANYTHING in the area please share. Complete newbie to the area!

Thanks!

Move!

start with knowing how Thai adresses work. NP is the Province-but if you post only hat, anyone will assume you mean the capital=amphoe muang, which in fact is some 50-60 kms away from OmNoi/Yai.

These are effectively )the distinction betweent he 2 is utter vague) outer suburban areas of BKK-big city, stretched out along the old Phetkasem road. Transpo into centre BKK will relieve as per dec 12, as the BTS then gets extended into Bang Khae=avoiding the big jams and thus a quikcer transit. Many BMTA-buslines end there. BK also seems to have a fair lot of farang living there.

Anything a normal Thai needs is to be found along that road=markets, a BigC supercentre etc. Also a load of extravagant shorttime hotels-so there must be girls for hire-the most urgent wish for most TV-users anyway.

It also has its tourist centres: the Rose Farm and yet another crocodile farm for bustours.

And once you get settled and maybe-just in case-are able to appreciate some more Thai things: a little beyond is Sam Pran- a very oldstyle woodenhouse etc vilage set amongst the orhcid farms, on weekends there are 2 floating markets nearby: at Wat Don Wai and Wat Ray Khing- citybus 84 AIR(orange) ends there.
