Can I Change Type Non-ed To Non-b Visa?

Featured Replies

Hi there.

I got an interview and gonna get a job. I will be started working on next month. So i need to change my Type non-ED visa to Type non-B . I dont want to go back to my country (Myanmar) coz it will cost pretty much. Is there anyway to Change without going back to my country is that possible?

thanks a lot.

You may routinely obtain a work permit on the basis if a non-immigrant entry permit issued against an ED visa. This is routine, and unremarkable.

One you have the work permit, and you are within 30 days of expiration of the ED entry permit, and your company qualifies to sponsor an extended entry permit, you may then extend your existing entry permit on the basis of qualifying employment.

If anyone tells you that you cannot proceed as I described, and you are in the Bangkok area, and you want help making this process happen, my company can help you.

Good luck!

The big question is: is your company eligible to sponsor you for an extended entry permit?

If not, then any work permit you get on your current entry permit will only be valid until your entry permit expires -although you said "visa," I assume you meant that your ENTRY PERMIT will expire on 19 January.

So - if they cannot sponsor you for an extension, then it does not make much sense to proceed with your current entry permit.

Best to have your company contact Khun Ratachadaporn (Khun "Beer") at our office - tel 02-260-3914. Khun Beercan also advise concerning costs, based on the particulars of your situation.

Cheers!
