Been searching high and low all over Phuket to find a grommet installation kit. Been to HomePro, Homeworks even the huge sailing specialist Rolly Tasker (they actually sell grommets but no kits, obviously like to charge for installing themselves)

Anyone know of anywhere I might find in BKK. Othehrwise I shall have to have delivered from UK.

True Value in Nonthaburi has many of the same items stocked by True Value in the US. General Tools makes a kit, mfg p/n 71264, True Value p/n 324092. If you can speak Thai, you might be able to find out if they carry the kit by calling them; otherwise, plan on a trip out there.

Another possibility would be Klong Thom Center on Worachak Rd. in BKK. You'd have to wander around until you find it, and be sure to bring a grommet, and, if possible, a picture of the kit or tool. Most everything related to tools can be found there, if you are willing to pound the (hot) pavement.

Ok, so she calls them but guy on the other end doesn't understand what she's asking for so I emailed the above photo but have had no response.

However, thought I'd take a chance at having a wander along Thalang Road in Phuket Town where we buy the fabric for and have our tablecloths made. Walked into a small hardware/stationers and showed them the photo. The owner immediately said "mai mee" but then gave me the name of a small habidashery shop 50m along from him.

Bingo!!!

When I showed them the photo they scurried into the back and came out with a bag of kits of different sizes. One kit plus 100 grommets 260Bt.
