FIREBRAND MEDIA SONTHI REQUESTED INFORMATION FROM GOVERNMENT CONCERNING TSUNAMI DONATIONS AND THE USE OF THAI KHU FAA PLANE

Thailand Weekly show host Sonthi Limthongkul (สนธิ ลิ้มทองกุล) has requested from the government information on the donations made to tsunami victims, as well as details of the usage of the Thai Khu Faa (ไทยคู่ฟ้า) aircraft.

Manager Newspaper's Senior Editor Tunsiri Kulphiphat (ตุลย์ศิริ กุลพิพัฒน์) yesterday handed Sonthi Limthongkul's letter to Prime Minister's Office Minister Suranand Wetchacheewa. The letter requested information on the total amount of donations made for the tsunami diaster and also the usage of the Thai Khu Faa aircraft, Prime Minister Thaksin Shinwatra's version of Air Force One.

Mr. Suranand said after reception of the letter that information on the tsunami donations can be disclosed without consulting the informations committee. However details about the usage of the Thai Khu Faa would have to be acquired from the Air Force. Mr. Suranand also affirmed that the prime minister has never used the aircraft for personal reasons.
