UK pensions

With regard to the National Debt now of 1700 trillion it would cost 40b a year just service the interest, so those Ugandan seniors best keep your heads down and the Etheopian ladies band well they were hoping nobody would notice and it makes you wonder what else is out there waiting to be discovered does it not?

The plight of the overseas UK pensioners seem to obvious, been there so long now over 50 years that its seems easy to avoid because its become part of the wallpaper to those who know and nothing to do with them for those who did not know and should it ever be brought in the mainstream domain for sure it will be passed to my next honourable friend who will put it in the in tray until it is forgotten.

One day, maybe, someone will bring this outrageous treatment to the cabinet and the HMG will be shamed into righting this wrong and it might not be that far away, with this Brexit now looming how will the UK oldies in the EU be affected, this might the opportunity we have been looking for.

What has the Brexit vote got to do with frozen pensions?

Higher than last week, still around 10% down from pre-Brexit... So I'm guessing this week might be "odd", just not for the reasons suggested.

They're not called 'remoaners' for nothing.

Whatever your view, at least TM did 1 thing right, it's time to put the petty name calling aside & move forward [emoji106]

Do you mean the effect of the Brexit vote on the sterling exchange rate ?

Yes of course.

That is why the pension is sinking.

The Eu are demanding 60m euro as part of departure package, some are saying it 600m euro and are claiming it is to do with pensions for some of it, I do hope they sort out and not forget the UK expat pensioners, where is the loyalty eurofolk who we saved from the Nazis or UKfolk who saved them?

You will also be delighted to know that the Chief of the UK Defence staff claimed 104,000 GBP for cooking and cleaning his grace and favour home last year! Now I am great supporter of our armed forces but really thats 20% of what it would cost to uprate our pensions back to the current rate and in 1 year!

Clearly there is no justice here and Donald Trump need to have a chat with Theresa.

Well I gave the smallest figure but clearly the EU just need so much that so much is never enough, I long for the day we can get out of their clutches. The long term plan seems to be to rival the USA but a socialist version of it and the richest will brought down to the poorest. When we leave there is a chance that our pension plight might be addressed but there is no chance whilst we remain!

All we can hope is that at some time in the future two things will happen.

1. Someone will have enough power to sort it out.

2. There will be enough money to do ti.

I think we have two hopes and we all know what they are .
