There must be loads and loads of mad people living around Bangkok. Lots of people live in studio apartments. The ones at Raintree aren't different than any other one room studio. If anything they are better because the building is nice and it's in a nice soi. I'm sure your old neighbors are quite glad that you relocated to another part of town.
