Dear Members

The Gallery will be discontinued in the next forum upgrade, shortly.

Unfortunately, the gallery database has problems and is not compatible with the Board software.

Invision didn't provide any further support or updates for Gallery so we've had to let it go.

It should be possible to save your photos but you will have to do so one by one, saving to your hard disk.

You can then re-upload them to a site of your choice, such as Picasa or Flickr.

Please do so as soon as possible so that you can save your photos.

Our apologies for the inconvenience, we tried working with Invision, but it just wasn't possible to save the Gallery.

Very sad to read about this coffee1.gif as a lot of Members have posted photos on it.

While the standard mode of accessing you gallery photos, by clicking on your member name at the top right of the screen, then on "My Gallery", no longer works after the last software update, I have found the following workaround to download the photos, one by one (on computer running on Windows):

  1. Click on your member name at the top right of the screen, on the left of "Sign Out"
  2. Click on My Settings
  3. Click on Gallery --> list of albums is displayed
  4. Click on desired album
  5. Click on thumbnail of photo to be downloaded to the computer --> photo is displayed in larger size
  6. Right-click on photo --> context sensitive menu pops up
  7. Click on "Direct link to this image file" --> photo is displayed in original size
  8. Right-click on photo --> context sensitive menu pops up
  9. Click on "Save Image As…" --> Widows Explorer save box pops up
  10. Select destination folder and type desired file name, then click on Save

It is a slow process, I'm afraid, and if anyone happens upon a faster procedure, kindly post it here in this topic. Hopefully, most members kept a copy of their photos on the hard disk at the time when they uploaded them to the Gallery.
