It annoys me when people in my country no longer stand for the national anthem, but each to their own I suppose. But this guy seems to have acted like a complete tool. If it was an adult, yeah that would have shown a lack of respect, but not a kid.

One big difference though...I believe not standing for the Kings anthem is considered an act of lese majeste. It's a criminal act.

Yes, it is. Whether you are required to stand or not is not a point of debate. It is required.

I think people understand if you are foreign though, I was in a place in Bangkok once and there was a heavy police / military presence, a few minutes later everyone got on their knees and one of the princesses came out, now obviously I wasn't going to get on my knees but i did stand up and stand straight like the military guys did, no I didn't get a kicking, she actually smiled at me.

Sorry, I think that is incorrect.

OK, if you say so, but please don't let this thread get into a lese majeste controversy or it will be gone.

Actually what I meant was, currently It is unclear if it is or not. As the charges brought against people have not been heard in court, or were dropped.

BTW, the movie was The Hunger Games. It was very entertaining!

Excellent. Looking forward to seeing that one.

The dancing thing is quite odd. I can understand the dancing if it was a foreigners child, possibly raised to 'express themselves'. There is plenty of that going on.

The fact she kept dancing even though someone was shouting at her? Did she have earphones in? Could you diagnose any mild Asperger syndrome from where you were sitting?
