No.

The iPad uses an ARM based processor. Mac OS X is for x86 (and older versions for PowerPC processors), however they both use the same Unix core. iOS is also a touch interface whereas OS X is built for mouse / keyboard interface.

Many OS X apps now have iOS equivalents. Also there are various apps to remotely connect to your OS X desktop is really necessary.

No one really know what Apple is going to release, until they release it. Everyone is just guessing...or at least guessing at which "leak" is accurate. I myself very much doubt Apple will release a touch screen Macbook anytime soon. The ergonomics of it just don't really work very well. Voice input/direction or motion control (or something new) will probably have to be improved and incorporated (to provide a better alternative for an input/control) before we see a touch screen notebook.

I think they will just continue to iterate the iPad for "users" and the laptops/desktops for professional content and programming creation....for the time being.

What programs do you use on your MacBook Pro? Pages, Numbers, Keynote, iPhoto, GarageBand, etc are available for the iPad as well as the MBP. But iOS will only run on devices (iPads, iPhones, iPod Touch) and OSX will only run on computers. Although OS 10.7.3 looks more like iOS in mail and Safari...
