Minivan And Bus Hire

Featured Replies

I'm looking to rent a minivan and a bus for two seperate trips from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Northern Thailand.

Has anyone ever rented before or know where I can try. The "Limousine" services will likely be more expensive thn going with a small company from downtown, so if anyone can advise, that would be great.

Thanks a lot

Dave,

I live in Phetchabun and I have access to a driver with a very nice Toyota 9 Pass. van that in use to go to Bangkok and other places. He is vey safe and a very good driver, I feel very safe while in his van. When I need to go to Bkk or the Airport I charter him for the round trip, He picks me up at my home and drops me off at my home. The charge is Baht 4,500 total. In March I had an occasion to use him to go to the U.S. Embassy for some business. I needed to be in the Embassy by 8:30 A.M. and he picked me up from my home at 11:30 P.M. the night before and waited for my call to pick me up out front of the Embassy about 4 hours later.

I can strongly recommend his service. If you need his phone number P.M. me

Cougar52, if your total include petrol cost, then it sounds pretty good. A couple of weeks ago, we rented a van for 10 people in BKK and it was 1800 baht + gas/petrol. We had to go to Samut Sakhon, Samut Songkhram and back to BKK and paid something like another 1,000 for gas. We could have gotten a cheaper van but this one was a "nice" one with aircon in the back (but not so nice to have DVR and etc.) that seats 10 people comfortably.

I don't have the number and don't know his English level as it was arranged by Thais.

Yes, it was a plush Van with air front and rear it may been have a 10 pass. it has three sets of seats. he does speak passable English, but his more comfortable speaking Thai.

At the end of the day, when I drive to Bangkok from Phetchabun my gas in my truck cost right at 4,000 and I have to drive 5 plus hours each way and am tuckered out for a couple of days. So, to having be able to relax and enjoy the trip it was well worth the extra of 5oo Baht that it cost me.

His # is 0899598051 and he will go anywhere I believe. He lives in Phetchabun, however he told me the next day he was taking so people to Rayoung.

We had a minivan for 9 days, drove from Bangkok to Khao Yai to Issan to Prachuap. The total bill including toll, tips and gas came to 26.000 baht. A bargain for 7 foreigners! Super service, the driver was very professional, knew the best places everywhere and drove like a gentleman! Roughly you pay 1,800 for the van, without gas. PM me for his phone number!
