April 14, 201213 yr What are the requirements to obtain the purple driver's license that are valid for five years? Thanks, Emil
April 14, 201213 yr First you have to get a 1 year license- then when you get that renewed- it will be a 5 year license... happy songkhran...
April 14, 201213 yr Author My one-year expires in September this year, but then I've heard that you need a non-inmigrant visa type to get the purple five-year. Is that true, or? It's not a problem for me, I'm asking on the behalf of my family who always travel in tourist visa's. Happy Songkran to you too
April 14, 201213 yr And now you want me to ask "how", so I'll ask: How? Go to the appropriate Land Transport Office and you can simply BUY one. TiT
April 14, 201213 yr Author So, while on a tourist visa, is it possible to get it, when you've had the one-year for a year?
April 14, 201213 yr And now you want me to ask "how", so I'll ask: How? I got in before they stopped offering lifetime licenses.
April 15, 201213 yr I guess if you can get a certificate of residence from either immigration or your embassy you maybe able to get licenses with a tourist visa
April 15, 201213 yr I guess if you can get a certificate of residence from either immigration or your embassy you maybe able to get licenses with a tourist visa I have to agree, if you have a 1 year then it's only a matter of sighed photocopies of your passport and the residential letter from Immigration, if you're on a Tourist visa you may have to have the home owner vouch for you at immigration?
April 15, 201213 yr I think one of the requirements is a non immigrant visa/extension. I know that's the case, and enforced here in KKC. And yes, there will always be people with stories of exceptions.
