Adobe Reader X - Will Not Open Correctly

Featured Replies

Another little problem I have encountered is the opening of a PDF file.

I can just click and open a bank statement no problems on the bank's site. Same with the company I have shares with, just click and the statement opens to read.

When I come to another site where I have funds it comes up with pop ups in Thai and will not open to read.

I have right clicked on the desktop Adobe icon and used "Troubleshoot Compatability" and the end result in the wizard is "Incompatible Application".

What is incompatible?

My system is Windows 7 V.2, 64bit OS.

Could anybody please advise what is happening, thank you

Below are two photos of what is popping up instead of the file opening to read.

It's possible the failing site doesn't support your browser. Try the site with (shudder) IE or Firefox.

I was being asked to download the X version,

but on second thoughts I will give it a miss for now!!

If nothing better, try to uninstall:

(click) Start

Control Panel

Programs and Features

(R click) Adobe X -

select 'uninstall'

then reinstall: go to

http://get.adobe.com/reader/

unclick the box recommending 'free McAfee scan' - total BS.

Cheers, AA
