Passport Validity To Get Visa On Arrival

Featured Replies

I`m a male, 21 y.o.; Russian Federation.

I`m gonna visit Thailand next month.

My passport expiered in 3 months.

I`m gonna stay in Thailand for 2 months.

Is there any problem in the Bangkok airport getting visa-on-arrival.

What documents are required (does outbound ticket needed to declaire on arrival)?

May I extand my visa-on-arrival for 2 months?

First of all get a new passport!!!

you won't be able to get a visa on arrival if your passport expires within six monts.

outbound ticket is required (mostly by airline) for the 30day no visa entry; visa on arrival is something different and you won't get it with a passport which expires in three months!

Absolutely correct, your passport must have a minimum validity for 6 months.

Visa upon arrival will be granted for Russian Federation - pp-holders) and requires confirmed outbound ticket within 15 days and visa granted will be for 15 days only.

Generally no extension granted, except for special cases like illness.

So, for a stay of two months you do need a new passport (or extension of validity) and must apply for a visa. Embassy in Moscow and Cosulate in St. Peteresburg:
