90 Day Reporting

Featured Replies

It does seem like this topic gets beaten to death. Some times two at the same time. I do believe that after a while people just get tired of going through the posts that have nothing to do with there topic (like mine) and just repost the question.

Sorry for the delay in getting the topic assembled and pinned, spent the last several weeks packing and moving to a new house and all the chaos that it involves. Topic for 90 day reporting now opened and pinned.

The topic pretty well covered every thing in the first post.

It should have been closed after that now we are into yearly renewal bookings on line which have nothing to do with the 90 day reporting.

Perhaps a separate pinned topic for what is needed for online renewal and a second pinned topic for in person renewal. Looking for how to do some thing it is easier to post ma new question than go through a list of opinions and ways to do other things.

Just my opinion

Perhaps this will be better. Two topics, one on the 90 day and the other on online system giving a summary of requirements. The 1st having a link to this topic and the 2nd a link to my online queue topic which I will on-pin. Pin and lock the two new topics.

Have decided to go this route to keep them separate and not so busy for quick reference. New pinned topics now and the old on-line queue topic unpinned but referenced to in the new pinned topic.

//edit - feel free to make suggestions to the two topics and I will modify them accordingly.

Totally off-topic, but ....

methinks this is a most disgusting 'smiley', especially when you see that this actually has happened in Ukraine very recently. Around 250,000 dogs have been slaughtered to death, like this 'smiley' and with the most horrible poisons, only for the EK football.

Shame on Thaivisa! :(

Nienke,

It doesn't make it any better from an animal welfare viewpoint, but the emoticon comes from the English slang expression "beating a dead horse" which means repeating a topic over and over to the point of absurdity.

It's a horse, not a dog...

I know it's from that expression and I'm aware it's not a dog. Still disgusting .... methinks

Nienke,

To use the double negatives perfected by my countryman Henry Kissinger:

"I can't say that I disagree with you".

Honestly speaking, some of the other emoticons could cause the same effect.

The jerk-off one might offend some conservatives jerk.gif , the drunk one will offend recovering alcoholics burp.gif , the 10 gallon Stetson "big hat, no cattle" might offend the shit howdy crowd cowboy.gif , and the paranoia induced by this one ph34r.png will send the Prozac crowd into a whimpering fit in a corner.

I feel your pain. I am an animal lover from way back, and I grew up and lived around horses and dogs and cats. Rode horses all my youth at my grandfather's farm south of San Francisco in Millbrae.

I'm not offended by this emoticon personally even though I am a horse person- it is just an internet thing to express something not related to animal cruelty, crude as it may seem.

OK, back on topic.

Let's hope Tywais gets the 2 pinned topics (hidden for now) about both the CM Imm queue system for visa/extension renewals, and the 90 day address reporting, up and running sometime soon.

He is in a big move to a new house, so cut him some slack.

Then we won't have all these superfluous threads popping up, asking the same questions that have been answered many times before.

The move is complete and is nearly a home now though don't quite have all my computer equipment up and running yet.

The two topics have been created, pinned and locked and made visible a couple of days ago. Each contain a link to this and the previous online queue system for comments and updates rather than in the pinned topic to keep them 'clean' for quick reference.

Nienke - I read some dog forums and found one with a topic specifically about the beat-a-dead-horse emoticon. Seems the consensus that it wasn't an issue as it wasn't a dog. biggrin.png But rather than continue taking this topic off-topic, you can always start one regarding it in Forum support. I'm responsible for managing the emoticons and that one was requested.
