Excellent Service From Canon

On the last day of vacation the mirror popped out of my long-out-of-warranty Canon 5D. Took it to the Canon Service Center in the Sathorn Square building. The mirror was chipped and needed to be replaced, so it took 3 days instead of one. They also cleaned the sensor, mirror, and viewfinder like new. Ready on time as promised. All for free. What a great deal.

Yes, Canon will fix that known problem quickly. I have always had excellent service from Canon Thailand, except the last visit to drop off a busted flash unit in early February. Still not fixed. (Last time took 5 days.)

In the past I've had good service from the Canon Service Center in BKK too.

I had an "error 40" problem with my Canon 7D. The Canon service at MBK 5th floor said me one month waiting to check and fix the problem, under warranty. I needed the camera ASAP so they send me to the main assistance centre in Sathorn Tower. They gave my camera back in 2 days.
