Convert Iphone 4S With Vodafone

Featured Replies

My wife has an Iphone 4S, which she bought in UK afew months ago on contract with Vodafone, which is proving to be completely useless in Thailand (where we plan to spend most of our time for the duration of her contract).

Is there any way we can convert it to work with one of the Thai networks (i.e. that is cheaper than the 20k for a new one)?

I am quite keen to sort it out fast because she is starting to take control of mine (which I bought here on True); which is limiting my access to ThaiVisa!

Do you mean unlock so it can be used on any network?

IPhone's from the US and UK are harder to unlock than ones in Asia, but depending on the iOS version you have it could be done.

If the iOS is not yet 5.0 it could be done, 5.0 and up are harder to unlock.

I would take it to MBK to see if they can do it.

What firmware is it running? If it can be jailbroken, it can most likely be unlocked using the SAM tool.

Edit: Sorry scrub that. Just checked and it looks like Apple have closed the exploit in the last few days. Gevey Sim is probably your only option at this point.
