Redshirt Demonstration On Ratchada.

Featured Replies

This really belongs in the News section, but I can't start a new topic there.

I just drove past the Criminal Courts building (Sanaya) on Ratchadapisek and there is a Redshirt Demonstration going on there. There are just a few people, I would guess no more than 100, but they seem to have completely blocked the northbound lanes. As of now, the traffic is backed up to Suttisan or further.

I only caught a brief glimpse of the banners, but they seemed to be protesting against Section 112 of the Constitution and I suspect that the death of "Uncle SMS" in prison may have triggered this protest.

traffic is moving at normal speed on ratachada rd in both directions ,at least where robinsons and homepro is

It's backed up further north then. It was definitely stopped north of Suttisan.

100 people: A red shirt demonstration without payments

It was loud and disruptive to traffic from at least 5PM until about 10PM or later. From Ladprao Rd. north to the Court building was curb-to-curb cars. Saw several minor traffic accidents, people's tempers frayed from trying to get through the mess.

Definitely winning 'hearts and minds', these Red Shirts.

Oh, that explains why yesterday traffic was hell on the way back from work.

Hearts and minds indeed...

How do you know. these people don't do anything unless there is some financial benefits

More of the same today(May 9) if you haven't tried to go north on Ratchada this afternoon yet.
