Htc Wildfire Problem

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

my less than 1 year old HTC Wildfire does not give me incoming voice sound. Can hear only pressing the loud speaker. Has anyone had same problem ? Could Pantip Plaza fix it or do I need to go to HTC service center ? (which address I do not know). Thanks.

I've never heard of that kind of a problem being an issue with settings, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Many at Panthip could give an opinion.

As for an HTC Service Center, the one I know of is in Fortune Town/Fortune Center. It is at MRT Rama 9 Station, or the intersection of Rama 9 highway and Rachadapisek Road, on the NW side of the intersection. The HTC office is up on the 3rd or 4th floor, all the way towards the Tesco Lotus end of the shopping area. (It actually sits above Tesco Lotus.)

Not an uncommon problem. Give it a jolt.

Tap the phone on a hard surface. Hard enough to give it a jolt but not hard enough (duh, obviously) to damage it. If it doesn't work first time, try again but by "hitting" a different edge.

Many phones use a couple of sprung copper pins on the speaker and mic, to make contact with the motherboard. A light tap might be enough for it to make contact again. Failing that, taking it apart and putting it back together (giving the contacts a quick clean) will probably fix it.

Thank you guys.

@Bobl: your opinion is reasonable. I guess you handle electric devices a lot. I will try what you said. I've bought this smart phone at Kuala Lumpur IT plaza and I've specifically requested an international insurance which cost higher price to find out that, once in Thailand, the insurance was not valid. Apparently, thailand is not the only place to be aware of scams.
