some people plan their lives that far ahead just for cheap tickets,,,hmmmm

I know I have to go next year so why leave it and pay close on 6000baht if paying full fare.

The difference is a lot of beer money.

Just hope I don't get run over by a bus in the meantime, otherwise I have missed out on 535baht, lol.

Their Promo seat availability is showing "Green" (Usually means wide open) BKK to Singapore for FEB MAR APR MAY........No promo seat prices seen here?

A$228 all up Bangkok to Melbourne (via KUL) with seat selected and 30K luggage, late March.

Just out of interest, did this sale start in some regions on the 14th May, or was that only for Thailand Domestic routes?

The sale was only advised to Australian members as starting at 2:00 AM (AEST) on the 16th May!

Same here, I booked flights from Bangkok to Hong Kong next February for 4,000 Baht all in, I know I intend to go then so why not book now, Thai are quoting 12,500 Baht.

Not free, but a pretty good price, and I doubt if I will get it again.

Just need to avoid UbonOz's bus now.

Thankyou sir, I thought as much when nearly all of the domestic seats were gone or almost gone today the 16th.

BTW. I don't know if my above attachment is okay, for some strange reason I "Do Not" have permission to view it............New to me!

Trying again!

It's working now, attached in exactly the same way, but above in post 14 a message is still stating that I do not have permission to view it.............Stranger things have happened I guess?

Kuala Lumpur to Vientiene for 850b. On the other hand the flight leaves KL at 7:30am, so either it's head out to the airport before 5am or wait until a deal comes up for Tunes at LCCT. Or maybe the schedule will change before then.

I didn't book a baggage allowance because I found that could done when you do the online check-in, and this goes for all the other extras they offer. At least that's the way it has been the past year and hopefully that won't change.

With this in mind when planning so far ahead there is no disadvantage in keeping things minimal, so if you have to change plans you forfeit the minimal amount.

Best deal I ever got from AA was round-trip KL-Siem Reap for US$20 a few years back, ridiculous considering the Cambodian visa and then the departure tax were $25 each.

AA obviously notify different markets at differing times re these sales, I've booked what I want but would have had a bit of an easier ride with planning had I have had the notice re Mr O Git's post above.

I don't understand the email send-outs, they should all be at the same time, given the Internet is virtually instant for everyone and their sales obviously start at the same time for everyone!

well doneclap2.gif now all you just have to hope pray wish that:

AA dont just cancel the flight or re-route on that day; happened to me with AAsia they are a garbage airline that you cant depend on.

I used to fall for all these promo deals up to a year in advance......guys you dont even know what Thai immigration are going to do next , I lost track of how many tickets i could not use as my life changed and made travel on that particular day impossible

Good if you win but many times its just money down the drain

For 535baht I can live dangerously and take the risk.

If you're a Facebook user "like" Air Asia and they put details on there ahead of the emailed mail shots.

Changes in your life are hardly the fault of Air Asia.

Or some people know when their kids school holidays are and make plans for their trips in advance.

Terry, that's really just getting a lot of s--t off your chest!

There are enough of us here, who whilst we have a go at many aspects of Air Asia, have done bloody well from them.

I've been travelling with them since they started and must have by now more than 50 flights, internationally and within Thailand.

I would respectfully suggest if immigration and other life issues can be tied to Air Asia in your case, perhaps you need to get a tad more organised in general.

Those "Promo Deals" that I have fallen for wai.gif have saved me thousands of dollars and with the few issues that I have with the airline in general, the negative bits drop into insignificance.

Anyway I hope you have a better day from now for what's left of it.

I have lost count how many flights I have done with AA.

In the past twelve months have flown AA roughly fifteen times. I have twelve flights booked for future travel up till March next year, possibly will need more.

I have never had a bad experience with AA.

The only mishap was about five years ago from KUL to BKK when the aircraft lost pressurisation and we diverted to Hat Yai. We were transferred to another flight, arriving in BKK about two hours late. Situation was handled very well.

AA is a very competitive airline and their growth proves they have a good product. There should be more businesses which should learn from their promotion skills.

I have been on many full service airlines which don't even come close to AA for price and service.

With their sales, the early bird gets the worm. I have stayed up till three in the morning on occasions to make substantial savings.

I am not loaded with dosh, not rich not poor, just comfortable. Possibly achieved my lifestyle by buying wisely over the years.

As my Mum always said, you look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves.
