Iphone 3G Want To Unlock For Thailand

Hi all,

I've got this older iPhone that I want to get unlocked when I am over there in June and give to my wife's niece. Is there anyway to do this and have it work? I've read several posts but nothing definitive. It's 3.1.2 (7D11) . Any help is appreciated.

Go to MBK mall 4th floor. I had two done there. Cost around 400-500 baht each.
