I live in CHacheongsao and therfore have limited access to a decent broadband connection.

I know that TT&T offer some sort of package but I can't remember what it is now.

Who is available at a reasonable cost - 2k+ is not reasonable 700-1000 is.

At under 1000 Baht you're going to have to take your chances with a home package. TT&T Maxnet@home, 590 Baht for 256/128 or 790 Baht for 512/256.

You run a good risk of speeds during normal hours being below dial-up speeds!

At 6am you'l probably get closed to advertised speeds...

Remember, the ISP, wether it is CSLOXINFO or TT&T's Maxnet, have to pay to CAT a hefty 12000 Baht/month for 512kbps of international bandwidth. Count in the ISP's overhead, profit margin etc. and you'll see that at your reasonable prices, at least 30 people will share the same 512kbps :o

So what ISP to chose is not very important, the bottleneck is at CAT...

I would advise to up your budget just a little bit, around 1450 Baht/month for 256/128 on e.g. Maxnet4life. More expensive, so a lot less sharing, and faster the the 790B/month 512/256 connection...
