Indoor Plants And Supplies

I've been dumbfounded at how little selection there is around this city of infinite shopping centers and street vendors. Even the Chatuchak market has the same stuff in every stall.

Looking for a simple decorative trash bin for the bathroom? You get one color...cheap plastic blue at Big C. The only alternative is the designer stores in the malls, where you can pay double what you would back home. Where is the Walmart of southeast asia, where all shapes, sizes and colors can be found at a decent price and quality?? Don't say Tesco, Carrier Four, Home Pro, Big C. Been there, done that.

I really want to find a decorative pot for indoor plants. Big sizes, small sizes, whatever. Chatuchak market has nice selection of floor plants...but the shops don't bother carrying the pots or fertilzers and soil to go with them! Please help.

You can find what you are looking for at Chatuchak... outside of the gates.

If you turn off of Pahonyothin Road at the Land Transport office and follow the road that leads toward the Bus Station (not sure of the name of this road), there are many Garden / Plant sellers on the side of the road. A few have tons of decorative pots for sale.

There is a mega plant market at Thonburi Market - Sanam Luang II Everything you could want. (This is out by Phuttamonthon Sai 3), on the west side of town, past Pinklao.

Im sure there are many others in the city, too.

Peace
