PM THAKSIN WILL ANNOUCE ECONOMIC POLICIES FOR 2006 NEXT WEEK

Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office SURANAND VEJJAJIVA (สุรนันทน์ เวชชาชีวะ) revealed that Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra will announce the government’s economic policies as well as its direction to work on this year's economic issues to the private sectors, the investors and the general public. The premier will make his announcement prior to his visit to Roi-ed (ร้อยเอ็ด) to eradicate poverty in the province.

However, Mr. SURANAND declined to comment about the Prime Minister's projection on Thailand's economic growth for this year. He forecasted that the economy will grow by six percent. Mr. SURANAND reasoned that the matter is not under his control.

BTW, how does one eradicate poverty if one is the P.M. ? Give everybody in the country who is poor a lump sum of money from SHIN Corp ?
