Well said Nev, being a football fan is "not about winning just turning up every week and cheering on the" club you support. You win, you go; you lose, you go.

spare a thought for us WELSH.

what is WINNING?.

I don,t know about winning exactly but I guess taking a walk in a lush green field full of sheep may bring some consolation gigglem.gif

p.s.sorry meatboy couldn,t resist wai2.gif

Think we all know that "Football is just a game, not life or death" despite what Frankly Mr Shankley said, but you as a ManU fan, do you have an opinion on the points in the Guardian?

Not really,it was just a blank news day that day and they have to fill the pages somehow thumbsup.gif

The British press love to put people on a pedestal from whatever walk of life and then take great delight in hammering them back down again when it suits them, sells newspapers keeps them in a job whether they are writing sh*te or not whistling.gif

So the article on the malaise at MauU was because "it was just a blank news day that day and they have to fill the pages somehow", was that so. You keep on believing there's nothing wrong then.

Totally agree with you that "the British press love to put people on a pedestal from whatever walk of life and then take great delight in hammering them back down again". We will be witnessing that sooner rather than later when the press get their own back on the sacking of arrogant LvG.

peter, you were the one barking on about stability when Ferguson went, as if United wrote the book on it purely off the back of the exceptional reign of one manager. And what a load of old twaddle that was. Don't argue the point, you can't!!

What is plain to see is the current owners and CEO haven't read their history books or learnt from the past. The shadow of Ferguson needed to go.

And please tell me, for a club you keep telling us is so hell bent on stability why are you appointing a "two season manager" that is likely to create his third player revolt, and who has little or no interest in bringing players through your academy?

Lets face it, no matter what United did it would be wrong in yours and many others eyes, when they,re winning its wrong and when they,re losing its just the same.

You bring Ferguson up again (statistics show he is the greatest manager in British football history) yet to a lot of mumpties he was a tosser, despised and berated because he was so successful at Man U and not at their club.

Fergie was manager for nearly 5 years before he won his first trophy, speculation as to whether he would have been sacked if he had not delivered something was a talking point at this time.............who knows whistling.gif but what we do know is that football has changed greatly since the late 80,s and the money being spent today is obscene and managers are expected to deliver almost immediately which is totally wrong.

LVG was appointed on a three year contract and should be judged at the end of this time,he has successfully managed the four top clubs in Europe during this time and his appointment was made because of his vast experience,at the beginning of december United were briefly top of the table, not playing particularly well I must agree but progress was being made under LVG I felt ( I still believe when United can put out there best side we are on a par with most others and with a top class striker we could have won silverwear this season) since then injuries and performances have suffered.......so what its football.

If you care to look at any World class company you will see they are built on stability in management and the boardroom,in football however you have rich owners who believe in many cases they can buy success but it isn,t as simple as that, thank goodness these guys weren,t around when Fergie fist took the helm at OT or we would not have enjoyed what he did.

Please Carmine who is this "two season manager" you are bleating on about? LVG is the manager and should be until his contract finishes in my honest opinion.

Ryan Giggs should then follow thumbsup.gif

Quick update for you Peter. LvG's about to get the bullet. Mourinho's taking over. And if Ferguson hadn't been bringing in silverware regularly your owners would have given him no longer stay of execution than any other club.

Give over on the "everyone hates United" crap please. Chelsea took that over from you years ago.

That might case darn sarf (still reckon its ManU even there) but United are still the club that everyone hates up north.

That,s what too much success brings in football, jealousy and bitterness from others less fortunate,we regard it as a compliment thumbsup.gif

If we weren,t so good no-one would bother slagging us off wai2.gif

Currently 14 United players out either injured or sick. 1 out of 3 goalkeepers left so a junior will step up as a reserve.

Don't think any PL side could cope with that. One of the bonuses for Leicesters run in,few injuries, one game a week, good luck to them.

Having said that just watched last weeks Europa League replay against the Danes.

Carrick loses the ball in midfield.... GOAL. Mata makes the most pathetic attempt at a tackle I think I have ever seen..... GOAL.

Experienced players, not kids, making costly mistakes and nothing to do with LVG or SAF watching.

Lets hope Scholsey is back training, now theres a lad that can tackle !

Totally agree with your 2nd paragraph. There was a time before Xmas when ManU were a concern as they kept winning without playing well. One of the factors in recent weeks has been the injury situation...ManU have really been hard hit which has seen that inevitable dropping off of form. Get some of the established players back they could challenge the top 4 placed.

Giggs and Scholes at the helm sometime soon? now there,s a thought thumbsup.gif

Exactly what kind of thought?

You're still living in the past Peter...they were great PLAYERS.

Neither of them has a clue about management.

They can bring back what's his name from Valencia to team up with Giggs and Scholes. whistling.gif

Might as well get Beckham in too...and Schmeichel in as keeper coach.

Roy Keane as chief sergeant major of training.

Charlton can do the team talks...maybe invite the class of '85 fans to burn down London too.

Why do it by half eh?

Sometime soon!!! Like thats going to happen. Might be an idea for them to cut their teeth in some proper football management first. Or do you count four matches under one of their belts as being enough to do the job? rolleyes.gif

Barcelona "B" team gigglem.gif rather shoots your expertise in football management down gigglem.gif

Leicester City Premier League Champions 2015/2016

Manchester United FA Cup Winners 2015/2016 thumbsup.gif

Arsenal/Manchester City/Tottenham/Chelsea/Liverpool not a pot to p**s in clap2.gif

oops that will get some reactions
