Want To Buy New Honda Pcx, Where?

Featured Replies

Moving to Phuket in late august and probably going to stay around Kata.

Looking to buy a new Honda PCX 150, anyone know a good decent shop around Kata which qoutes fair prices? Or is the best option to go to the main Honda dealer in Phuket Town?

Appreciate all help!

The main Honda dealer, didn't know that existed, I though they were independent retailers.

I like a dealer in Chalong, on the way from the circle to Central, about 1K from the circle. A quite small dealer but friendly and good service.

I was just reading about that it was a big main dealer in Phuket Town on another board...but maybe i mixed it up with something else.

Do you have the name and/or phone number to that shop in Chalong?

There's a brand new Honda dealer opened on Patak Road at the Kata end of Karon opposite the many banks. That is now the nearest dealer to where you will be staying. GF ordered a PCX there on their opening day just under two weeks ago. Currently three weeks wait. Price seems to be the same (THB76,000) throughout Phuket.

I think their name is Siriyarnyon Phuket. They also have a shop in Patong and in Phuiket Town.

You sure that place is open? I thought they had closed down, but, I could be wrong.

This one sounds good. Do you know their name, phonenr or if they have an website? I want to contact them to pre-order one if there is a wait.

It was open a few days ago. Hope it is open next week when I have to go there for a 5,000 k service.

Yes, I thought there was a new place opening on Patak Road. Did not know it was open now. Prices just about the same at all Honda dealerships. Best just use the dealer nearest where you plan to stay (Kata). Makes it easier for service, collect later paperwork, spares.

Anyone have contact information to this new shop on Patak rd?

Is it possible to buy the bike once I arrive (with red plates) and provide them with certificate of residence once I get it a couple of weeks later to register it in my name?

I my experience all the shop needs is the cash money and a copy of your passport. The CoR is only required about a month or 2 later (even 3 months) when the number plate & book are ready for your name to be registered.

Agree. Prices are pretty much the same. No room for bargaining. The price they display is the price. You might get an extra jacket or helmet if you have a nice smile.

Thanks for the clarification! Great news, then I can pick up my bike same day as I enter Phuket.

It goes back a long way to when I had a bike rental business in Chalong but over a period of 5 or 6 years bought a total of about 45 Honda waves with a few Phantoms and NSR 150's in the mix. Shop named Sin Hock Suwi (spelling) located in Phuket Town on Phuket road, on R.H.S. 150 meters or so from it's start towards the clock circle on the way to Immigration. It's a 5 minute walk from where the blue songthaew buses pull up at the new fresh markets. Head east one block, hang right, 150mt. Prices were better than anywhere else at the time and their after sales service excellent. Their head mechanic at the time whose name was Hawk, was a factory trained specialist and brilliant to boot, even got for me a copy of the workshop manuals F.O.C. No mean feat when the answer from the Honda factory was " No not dealer ". I forget how much we were getting off the sticker price but I know it made it well worthwhile to wait for a certain spec. if necessary.

Can't advise if things are still the same on any or all of the aspects above as I said it's been awhile but was sure better than the way it was with ST with their incompetent 'kid' mechanics and sales BS. Worth a look.

Feel free to PM me if you need more help and remember to keep the rubber side down.

Thanks everyone for the help.

I called to the shop on Patak Road earlier today. They ask for 76 000 so that's ok.

Takes two months for them to have one in their shop so now I have to send a friend over with 5000 in deposit. Since it's a new shop I hope they'll stay in business wai.gif

Yeah they are out of stock...Honda dealer in Bang Tao I went into today said 3 weeks though

That staying in business is not so much the problem, the real crux of the situation I'm led to believe is that Honda BBK delegate who gets what and when. The dealer may order 10 of which yours is one but you are # 9 in their queue and they only get 5. Solly Mr. Khun IMN you wait till next delivery. And you respectfully ask when will that be. They will reply Idunno, mayblee 2,3,4 weeks more. You will get it eventually. Problem is you might see another one elsewhere, exactly what you want all ready to go, possibly a cancelled order, but your'e already in for 5 grand at your place of choice that has already broken their " promise offer to deliver " through no fault of their own. You will discover that even buying a new bike requires a certain skill set to achieve maximum results and satisfaction.

As I said b/4 Good Luck.

I bought my Pcx 150 2 months ago.

Visited many honda dealers. They all said around 3weeks to 3 monts delay.

Things mnay have changed now.

But I get mine in 2 days. Yes 2 days !

at the normal price of 76,000 Thb

From a very efficient dealer in phuket town

They did everything for me, red plate, insurance, green book, ....

Everything was done in time with zero problem.

This honda dealer is 59-42-43 bangkok road Phuket.

Be caregful there is 2 honda dealer in this road, it is the little one you may not remark if you dont pay attention.

Good luck
