Posts Not Going To Newsfeed With 'Facebook For Android' App - Advice Appreciated.

Hi, I'm really asking on here on behalf of my step-daughter who has become increasingly frustrated since updating to 'facebook for android' about 2 weeks ago. She is using a Samsung Y Duos and had no problems with the facebook app before. Since updating to 'facebook for android' via samsung 'play'. everything has slowed right down, some public wi-fi are inaccessible and weirdly, when she uploads a post/photo, it shows on her wall but not on the newsfeed.

Just to clarify, at home where everything is working from the same wi-fi signal, a post/photo can be uploaded from our laptop or our ipad and appears on the wall and newsfeed, but not when uploaded from the phone. Now, 'facebook for android' is the only app available on play. If anyone else has experienced similar or found solutions, could they please give advice? I wrote to facebook on the help pages and found lots of other users with the same problem but no solution.
