[Myanmar] Constitutional Tribunal Launches Website

Burma’s constitutional tribunal launched a website on Thursday, the latest government office to do so in recent months as part of the country’s bid to improve its reputation for transparency. The website, available only in Burmese, includes a history of the tribunal as well as news about its recent activities. Verdicts reached by the tribunal are also published on the site. Earlier this year, the office of President Thein Sein also set up a website to release official statements, photos and other information, bypassing the state media’s former role as the exclusive organ of government propaganda.
