Camping In National Parks Eg Doi Inthanon

Featured Replies

I am interested in camping in some of the Parks. Park cabin accommodation is often expensive or booked out. Does anyone have experience of camping in the CM area NP and in particular Doi Inthanon? I do a lot of bird and macro photography. Can anyone tell me if the park entry fee is charged daily and is the fee before you get to the camp area or is the camp area outside the gate of any park you have experienced.

thanks

Camping grounds tend to be inside, also at Doi Inthanon it's inside. National Park fee is per entry, regardless how long you stay. Though if you go out and in by all means try to re-enter for free, showing the tickets you purchased the previous day.

Accommodation is often for larger groups, so per building it's expensive. But just pitching a tent is very cheap, something like 40 baht IIRC.
