Popular Post samuijimmy
^ yes not many people realize that there are other religions practiced here.... other than Buddhism and Islam! Occasionally one does run into Thai Christians..... Those churches are certainly better than the ones ones on Samui! I think there are two or three, but I never felt the urge to photograph them! I think this thread should include all types of places of prayer.... hope every one agrees! No point in making a new thread! Assurancetourix PM'd both Ron and I, to ask .... OK with me!
Popular Post Assurancetourix
Thank u Jim for ur excellent answer ; Not too many churches in Thailand; sometimes very poor like this one in a so poor village of burma refugees in Mae_Hong_Son province; the name of the village Ban_Nai_Soi, it's a Karen village were long neck women are living with their families. The road -- 73019 -- to go there is so bad , very difficult to go there in the dry season ; impossible in the wet one if u don't have a real 4 x 4 ; photos shot about 3 or 3 years ago I went there a few months ago, the church has desappear; it's only a cross at the same place Not far from this village a new church but it's a protestant one, not catholic

You can try to adjust the "vibrance" up a bit after you have set the saturation to your liking. Post the pic & if the vibrance isn't how you like, remove the pic & bump up vibrance in PP again then repost. Give it a try... It is still a nice pic IMO. Gave a talk to school students and shared rice whiskey with some very friendly Karenni people. There was a devastating fire there last year. 27 people died. Quite possibly the church was also lost to the fire...

I'm using Photoshop CS6 on a system calibrated with Spyder 4. When I load the same image onto DPreview (for example), it looks fine. When I preview it in Windows 7, it looks fine. But here it looks dull. Below is a comparison that will show the colour differences (though neither will be accurate given this is the site where I'm having the problem). Image on the left is the Windows image viewer and on the right is the image embedded here. The color difference is more stark on my monitor, but the site desaturates both images... Docno
^^^ I've had this happen before, never found out what it was. The pic looked fine on photobucket but lost saturation when I posted here. Here, as a test, is the same image embedded from another site (1st version) versus embedded directly from my harddrive (2nd image).
Docno
^^^^ OK - it's clear from the comparison above that this site is messing up the colours if you upload an image directly from your harddrive. Perhaps its stripping out the colour profile. Colours are fine if you link in from another site. A bit of a hassle for those of us who don't regularly upload to other sites. Wonder if this can be fixed...? NIX THAT: THE COLOURS LOOKED FINE AT FIRST, AND NOW THEY'VE DISAPPEARED AGAIN! Very strange. Here's what the image should look like: http://g3.img-dpreview.com/7CD6FE19846B4E878BFAADF75A484AC5.jpg UPDATE 2: after I posted the edited version of this message, the colours of the previous post went fine again. Madness... Edited October 4, 2014 by Docno
