Small Local Medical Clinic - Thai Name For

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am looking to obtain a medical certificate to apply for a Thai driving license. Ideally this would be from a local clinic where I can be in and out quickly and only pay 60bht. The last time I did this at a hospital took more than 1hr with all the associated bureaucracy which I hope to avoid this time.

If anyone knows the name in Thai that would be helpful - I will just ask a motorbike taxi to take me to one. I live in the saphan kwai area if anyone can advise me of a specific clinic.

Thanks

Ah over at Buffalo Bridge, so you are in Bkk not the back of beyond.

These small clinics are all over the place, I would bet there is one within 500 meters in any direction.

Easy enough to spot if you can read Thai, I cant post Thai script on here, but the Thai word is the same as the English word, just pronounce it as, Kalinik.

Actually clinic in Thai is clinic - คลินิก

More formally but could be confused with hospital - สถานพยาบาล (sataan payabahn)

Thanks all,

I figured out "klinik" and yes rgs2001uk you are spot on - I had to walk about 500m to find one on the main road - simply look for a shop with a green cross and a kind a reception with a private room behind (I guess this is where the doctor/nurse is).

The word for medical certificate is "bai rabrong paird"
