I was trying to rememebr myseft but I'm guessing the cost of living in thailand is more popular to talk about than paying the maid ! ..... at least so far :)

Here's the link to the most compelling reports of the Tsunami In Thailand, note the brief post from George early in the morning, who could believe what unfolded next.

It is interesting that the word "tsunami" is hardly mentioned though the early reports, as it was barley even a part of the lexicon prior to the disaster. They used "tidal wave" which is not actually the correct term.

i have only watched the one regarding the purchase of the car, and while techinically it was very well done, the whole tone of the video made it seem like he was marching off to war rather than embarking on a cross country drive in a beater.

A touch OTT for my tastes.

not going to stop me from looking at at least one more though. he really is quite a talented narcissist as his pictures of himself flexing on his own website will attest.

Edit: I checked out a couple of others and they really are very well presented. Talented individuals indeed.

Yep, a true classic - there was a good one about Thai children going to school on elephants, but didn't last too long as too much fun was being had on that one.

The GOM is still the all time classic for me though

Am I missing something here? Dan Tilley is not involved in this thread, he is, in my opinion one of the most respected poster's on here.

Why the hell did you have to post this just when I was going head off to the scratcher?? I sat up reading, and laughing like crazy.... and nearly ended myself when I got to the Suvarnabhumi escalator thread.

Do you realise what will happen when I arrive back in LOS.... I'll be chuckling like a demented lunatic while trying to get down to the taxi rank, thinking of that thread......
