Where To Buy Apple Tv In Thailand?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I'am thinking about picking up apple TV here as recently I bought new HDTV and sales lied to me that it comes with online services. The problem is I found website that sells it for a little bit over 5000 BHT which is a rip off considering that back in the states it costs 99$. Also wanted to ask if I pick one up from the UK or US is it going to work here? I'am planning to jailbreak it anyway.

thank you

Product not officially available here.

Order one from the US, DHL/FEDEX it here and pay import duty 50%. Probably works out at about 4500THB for it.

5000thb not a bad price to be honest...

My cousin bought one in the US a couple months ago and works fine. He uses it to purchase TV series and such with no problems.

They just opened the Thai iTunes store so it might be available soon.

last weekend, I bought an Apple TV (latest 3rd gen) at MBK shopping center (4th floor)..several counter shops have them....price was Baht 3,800 (roughly US$120)

works great!

can watch/listen everything (movies, TV shows, music etc.) on my US itunes account and also on my $8-a-month Netflix account...

and Youtube and Podcasts and internet radio are great

(I use a small similar-sized DUNE 101 box to watch torrents downloaded to an external USB hard disk, which also works great!)

Doesn't Netflix require a US or UK proxy (or VPN) to work in Thailand? How did you get that to work with AppleTV?

tunlr (from a very helpful tip on another Apple thread in this forum)
