Hi, my GF applied and was successful in a UK visit visa application, we applied in may for a 2 week holiday end of June till 1st week of July, everything went well and the visa was approved, my GF is due to go back to Thai on the 8th July. Due to my work commitments that didnt quite go to plan for me having the whole time off, so we have discussed about her returning for 2 weeks again in October to have a bit of a better holiday for both of us and for my 30th Birthday.

The Visa expires in Nov so we will not be breaching any dates on the visa. The visa says number of entries "mult", so i assume thats multiple???

My concerns our, we never mentioned our plans of a visit in October on our application in May, not to be deceitful, there just wasnt a plan at that time. And also her visa was stamped actually on the stamp, does that mean it cannot be used again?

I guess my question is, is she ok to travel on the above Visa in these circumstances, or shall we apply again ?

Many Thanks

Yes, if it is a multi entry visa your girlfriend use it again within its validity.

Just bear in mind that a visa only allows the holder to travel to the border and present themselves to an Immigration Officer, it is they who will decide if the visa holder will be landed. There is always a chance, however remote, that a visa holder can be refused admission if the IO suspects the visit isn't genuine.

Agree with TOG, see no reason for her being refused, best ensure she has return ticket and knows to be clear on her answers if she is challenged, I am sure "I come for two weeks, it is my boyfriends birthday" would do, the problem comes when they the think they need a better reason and start making things up.

Ok thanks for help we will do that, to summarise the reason is me and my dad run a business together, he needed to have a routine operation, he had at end of may to allow 1 month to get better so i could take 2 weeks off while my gf was here, the op went wrong and his recovery has been at best slow, so some days ive had to work and it has limited our time together, so my dad has kindly offered to pay for a return flight for my gf to come back in october, when hopefully he will be fine by then and we can have 2 weeks off together properly.

So it doesnt affect that they stamped her entry this time across the Visa? It can still be used again?

and also sorry 1 more question, we are thinking about visiting Germany for 3 or 4 days when she comes in October, i know we have to apply for Sch Visa, but should that be done in Thailand or in UK when she is here? Can anyone help with that one?

The visa will be endorsed with a number or with 'Mult.'

If a number then this is the number of times it can be used. If 'Mult' it can be used as often as the visa holder likes during it's validity.

The vast majority of visit visas are multi entry. From VAT1.3 Visa validity - When to issue a single-entry visit visa

The ECO should only issue single-entry visit visas in certain cases, such as children visitors sponsored by charities or in exceptional borderline cases where the applicant has not quite established on the balance of probabilities an intention to leave, but there is nonetheless a clearly established, verifiable and compelling reason to visit the UK...............

As said above, Schengen visas have to be applied for and issued in the applicant's country of residence.

Sorry to bring up my old post, I'm going to book flight for gf tomorrow as explained in the first post, just a bit paranoid she will have problem at border as we never mentioned this trip when applying for visa not because we were lying it just wasn't part of the plan. Also assuming there is no problem, will we have problem on further applications? And should I send her an invite / covering letter similar to sponsor letter when applying for visa to explain this trip ? Thanks all for help

No she shouldn't have a problem, my partner has done it even though it wasn't on her original aplication - which the officer at the Port of Entry can call up to their screen, though she was asked for sight of her return ticket.

It's perfectly legal or they wouldn't have issued her a six month multi entry visa. And whilst, as I said before, she could be turned back at the border, it's highly unlikey, peoples plans change and your girlfriend should just be ready to say that she has booked a second trip and that the reasons to return remain, if challenged. The IO will know that she has been before and left without a problem.
