DOG IN SAMUTPRAKARN GOT STUCK IN GATE. OWNER TOLD RESCUERS TO CUT DOG'S LEG TO SAVE METAL GATE

A dog has gotten stuck in a gate, and rescuers took more than an hour to free the trapped canine.

Cutting tools and other equipments were used to free Namtarn (น้ำตาล), a dog that belonged to an egg seller at a market in Samutprakarn. The one-and-a-half years old dog was squealing in pain when the rescuers located it.

75-year-old eyewitness Sawek Thongthabkaew (เสวก ทองทับแก้ว) said he saw the dog return to the house to find the gate closed, and tried to go through a small opening in the gate. Its left hind leg got stuck to the metal hook part of the gate in the process. A neighbor tried to help out when he learned of the incident, only to be bitten on his left pinky, prompting him to decide to call in rescuers.

It has been reported that the owner had told rescuers to cut the dog's leg instead of the gate, in order to save the money that would have to be used to fix the gate.

However the rescuers proceeded with cutting the metal gate and Namtarn was successfully rescued with only minor injury to its left hind leg.

Not a very astute dog... he missed all the signals... if one comes home to a closed gate, the owner is trying to tell you something... and then if the owner is contacted and they tell the people to cut off your leg, well then, you pretty much should know that you're not welcome there anymore.
