July 10, 201213 yr I am in my forties. I have never worn glasses in my life. I have now reached the point that small letters used in Thai dictionaries or nutritional information on packaging are hard to read. 'Normal size' print is fine. I probably am very close to the point of requiring glasses. I have encountered on many occasions that a considerable number of shops and businesses from car showrooms to pharmacies are staffed by untrained, unknowledgeable and unqualified staff. I am keen to avoid such a situation in having my eyes tested and obtaining glasses, if required. Where would you go or avoid for glasses? Where would middle-class Thais go, though I am not sure this is the appropriate forum to ask such a question? Thanks in advance for any comments.
July 10, 201213 yr Any of the major Hospitals will have a good section for this - or you could go to a specialist Hospital such as Rutnin on Soi Asoke, Bangkok. Patrick
July 10, 201213 yr Author Cheers for the reply. I thought hospitals would be the way to go. By the way, I am in provincial Chonburi, although a day trip to Bangkok is not out of the question.
