Thieves Take My Money By Sending Messages To My Mobilphone...

Featured Replies

Not much, only a couple of Bath each time.

But as they do this many times a day and there is 56 millions Thai here. Things adds up quickly!

Remember last time, a few years ago, when every company send text messages. It made the hole system with text messages useless. Then the government interrupted so it was stopped from doing this.

Do you get offers like: "singing a song" or "want to see a bountiful lady" or other total uninteresting offers that you even had to pay for?

For me it is easy: As long as I am not aware of binding me up to receive something I had to pay for, I do not accept it. Then people are stealing money from me. I do not accept that the company can refer to some small printing or a website to justified what they doing. They are thieves, as they let it drains money unexpertly out of my wallet without my confirmation/knowlegde.

Do you really lose money by receiving spam text messages? If so, take it up with your phone carrier.

I do not understand a single word of this...

Same for me. I do know though that simply by receiving an SMS there is no money deducted from your credit. Unless the OP signed up for some sort of plan of course, e.g. receive all sportnews or something like that.

You signed up for the service or they can't take your money. Incoming msgs are free.

do you mean beautiful lady,i like the ones on your post, tex me know please.

OP you should contact your service provider and let them know that you do not wish to receive the messages. I had a similar problem about a year ago, I visited a DTAC office in Khon Kaen who put me on their phone to head office in Bangkok and a lady there, who spoke very good English, solved the problem in a few minutes..

Defiantly the thing to do.

Yeah, unless as mentioned you signed up for it. Or you are roaming somehow.

Yeah, I was getting some Push messages in Thai that most me 43 baht each time to receive and not even open. I didn't even bother trying to read any of them.

I just called AIS and asked why my credit was draining when I hadnt even used my phone and they quickly found out it was these SMS's. They cancelled/blocked them and refunded me the credit that it cost me to receive all the messages in my account.

Wrong. I definitely never signed up for the texts I was receiving. See post above.

I'll need to check my balance more often. I get these Thai SMS all the time. I just delete, never thought I would be charged. I suppose that's the problem with pre-pay .... there is no monthly statement to identify rogue charges ... sigh sigh

I've never had a problem with AIS. I would get promotions from them, one in a while, but not anymore. I have called them a few times over the years to ask them to stop sending me messages in Thai though. Now the only messages I get are from the bank or airlines.

You can usually check your statement online with prepay, at least with DTAC.

If the OP is having problems with 'binding me up' he needs to get some senna pod tea down him.
