Selling Price Of Macbook Help!

Featured Replies

I have a 2007 MacBook and the VGA is broken. Therefore the screen is blank and black. I can still hear the start up noises and my Skype signing in.

However, if you link the MacBook up to a monitor it works perfectly. So it can be used as a desktop.

Could you please predict a price I could sell this MacBook at?

I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Ewoud

2007 with a broken screen? Um... not much, that's for sure.

uh... 2007 ? small hdd 160gb, 2 gb ram, Core 2 Duo - i thing you found youself a new doorstop wink.png

Why not donate it to a local school.... ?

Let them have something to learn on and or fix....

There's an extended warranty programme on some of the 2007 Mac Powerbooks due to a fault with the VDO card. The fault manifests the way that you describe. Take your Powerbook / MacBook to an authorised service center. There's one at Siam Paragon and another at Fortune. THey can test it on the sport and tell you if you are covered or not. Try Googling the information.

The entire motherboard in my PowerBook 17-inch 2.4Ghz (now for sale in the classified) was replaced last year under this programme with no service fee at all. Takes a week for the old motherboard to be sent to Singapore and a replacement one received back.
