I was in Banphai last month and I heard rumors that a Tesco was to be opening? This would save a trip to Khonkaen if this was true. Has anybody heard these same rumors?

Maybe just a rumor or maybe one of those 7/11 size tesco's as i have not seen any major building around the town,i will ask around and will see what i can come up with, i not live ban phai but half way between there and khonkaen so not make much difference to me but when we do head to ban phai it would be handy.

A Tesco at Ban Phai!. Probably a Tesco Express. What development. I was through there last month and got lost. I used to live on the road from Ban Phai to Borabu back in the 1970s (74-76). A weekly trip to Ban Phai to buy supplies was my big day out. Hated the market there. Wet and slippery. I lost my footing one morning and went head-over-heels on to my back. Everyone laughed. Did you know that Ban Phai burnt down in the mid 1950s I think. The Prime Minister Sarit put a stop to burning for insurance purposes.
