I am almost afraid to post this question for fear of receiving sarcastic replies.

For those people that have good ideas - my brother is going to propose to his girlfriend while we are in Samui in a few months. Does anyone know of a good location or romantic spot where he might be able to do this?

Thanks,

L

Lisa,

I think any nice beach, at sunset would be romantic :D

But get him to do it on day one or two. After that he would have sussed out the local honeys and may change his mind :o:D

Always good to have a plan B then! No, he has landed himself a good one there - he might have to do it on day one or two though because I might get too excited and blurt it out before then. :D

Choeng Mon beach at night. My wife and I enjoy many romantic nights there. It's a circular bay with gentle seas. There are lights visible all round, and most of the restauants have candlelit tables and chairs. It's never too busy and it has a romantic atmosphere. It's my favorite beach on the island...

We are there in April so we may bump into each other.

In Chewang (i forgot the spelling) there is a beutiful resturant called Ali, it right on the sand next to the water and has great padded cushions, nice dull lights with candles and sh1t.

I just got engaged then went there after and thought Fark i should of done there.

its just north of cheweng garden resort.

Also its the best service ive ever had anywhere in the world. The food is alittle more expensive compared to the others on the beach but is worth every extra Baht.

Sunset at the beach in Ban Taling Ngam! There is also a great restaurant, called the Five Islands restaurant (not cheap! & they also have pick-up service) and it is right on the beach overlooking the five islands!

It depends a little on your brothers' budget.

Tongsai Bay is quite expensive...BUT...very romantic*.

Actually you don't have to stay/live there but you could book a special open air 'Pavillion' on the hillside .....overlooking the sea/bay. They use it for these kind of romantic occasions.

The food is superb and you would have private waiters/waitresses....just serving the 2 of them (or are you and others there too?). That would be no problem too I think.

It would be big surprise: "Darling, tonight we go to a small beach have dinner there...OK?"

When you arrive there (taxi or own transport) you will enter the gate (security) and than an electric kind of Golf-cart will take you downhill.....it's really hmmmy and exciting:whistling:

SHE WILL LOVE IT; guaranteed!

Well, have a look.

Good luck

* ASKING your Lady to marry you is a one-of-a-kind-occasion isn't it, so who cares about the money???

LaoPo,

That is absolutely beautiful!! At least he will have some options on the pricing scale - guess it depends on how much he has left over after buying the ring!

Thanks,

L
