MORE TRANSPARENCY IMPLEMENTED IN THE GOVERNMENT'S INFORMATION SYSTEM

President on State Information aims to increase transparency in the government’s information system within this year.

Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, Suranan Vejjajiva (สุรนันทน์ เวชชาชีวะ), as President on State Information, said that the meeting is aimed to establish a system to develop indicators for transparency in Thailand and Thai civil services. He said that the Office of Public Sector Development Commission and the Commission will jointly develop the indicators to inspect publication of government information to the public. He said that if more information is made public, foreign investors will be more confident in the country’s transparency. He said that he will propose the idea to the cabinet for approval.

Mr. Suranan added that the system will focus on collecting electronic data and distributing information via websites, televisions, and state radios, to increase transparency in procurement projects.

Thanks, I'll relay that on to Government House. It's good they haven't inscribed the Ministry's new name on the door yet.

The spelling on that would be Ministry of Translucency, correct?

Actually, I believe that this doorway is the entrance to the office of the Ministry of Inactive Posts. :o
