Going To Koh Phangan With Child

Featured Replies

Hi,

we are going to visit Koh Phangan in first week of February for 4-5 days and we are planning to stay in Sri Thanu area. So I have a couple of questions.

Is this beach good for families with kids?

Is there places in Ban Sri Thanu to buy supplies like milk, diapers etc. if needed?

Would be glad to get any advise,

thanks.

Hi Alexa, Srithanu is fine. In fact, most of the island is quite child friendly outside of Hadrin. The beach at Srithanu is quite shallow, so quite safe for small children. There are some small shops in Srithanu now, so you probably won't have a hard time finding supplies but I would really recommend a trip into town (Thong Sala) to stock up as you will find a better selection at better prices.

have fun!

sbk, thanks for the information.

BTW, I suppose it is OK to find a place when we arrive there.

Or am I wrong and we need to book in advance? (It is not full moon party time)

I don't think you'll have any difficulty at all, esp since you aren't coming at FMP (mid-feb).
