I will be in Bangkok at the beginning of April. Can you tell me anything about the weekend market? Is it worth visiting? I can find some information at different websites but I would like people's opinions on the market.

Thank you very much.

Well, April is one of the hottest months in Thailand and JJ Market is real crowded.

Hope you're not too tall as it can be a hassle getting through the 'lanes' but they do have a lot of stuff. Myself, I preferred the old Sanam Luang that's not around anymore.

Watch out for the pickpockets there... :o

Its worth a visit, i always take tourists there when they come to Thailand - i dont like it myself as its too crowded some days. I always get there by 8.30 in the morning and leave by 11 or 12.

It is certainly worth a visit - just for the chance ot get lost in it - as it is so massive!!!

I loved just looking around - it is certainly interesting if nothing else!!

I was a bit freaked out by some of the animal sections but well I was expecting it. Some of the stuff, especially the furniture and crafts are way over priced but really I have never came accross anything like it and I have been to some markets in my time! :o

Its well worth a visit! Yes, use the Skytrain or, even better, go via the Subway & get off at Kamphaengphet Station and exit directly into the Market !

Dont get off the subway at Chatuchak Park, stay on and get off at Kampheangphet as the poster above says, it is right in the market.
