Hi

I will be visiting Chiang Mai next week on behalf of my company that produces educational toys and games. I will vbe visiting central etc and all the big stores theses are by appointment.

If anyone has any more suggestions about other places that might be interested in our products please feel free to let me know, local knowledge is invaluable.

Why not donate some to the many orphanages here; or even the temples that take in the underpriveledged boys for education and "monkhood"

These places are funded only by goodwill and generousity.......and besides that I hate to see other falang being succesful in business here on such a commercial level.

Yeah,....umm..... You do sales and promotions ? Effective communication is pretty important for that. By having a vague title you have automatically excluded yourself of many many people who might be able to help you because they don't see any words to attract them to this topic.

I'm not sure English is your native language, but the point is, put something, anything descriptive about your SUBJECT in the SUBJECT line.

You could also describe your toys better to us - price range, materials, computerized, wooden, from where, etc.

Communication breakdown.... always the same..... havin' a total breakdown....drives me insaaaaane.... !

And btw, good luck to you ! I make no assumptions of the size of your pocketbook or your profiting mechanisms. It takes hard work to do sales, and I believe extra hard work to get along with business as a Farang here. Sorry if I sounded too scolding. I do get frustrated seeing vague subject lines, though.

i was a little evasive because i wasnt sure i could tout our business in a topic thread

I know your going to Central which I guess is like biggest malls in every town. We bought a couple little notebook type things with Thai and English letters and Chinese and Thai letters, press the key and it speaks it. Plus little keys with some animals and food that it can spell or it asks you to spell. Flips up a screen with pictures of everything but the screen is just pictures, not real screen. Not bad though, I liked it and my gf liked it too ! Supposed to be for 5 and up if that tells you anything! Bought for a grandson but got an extra at a street market for less, 289 baht. About 300 baht each at the store. We bought them at the Thai book store at Tucom IT mall in Pattaya. We're going to CM Sunday for a holiday.

Actually our games are not computer based. Traditional board games like Monopoly (not ours)

What about International schools. Or Nursery schools.

It sounds to me like it is a product that people do not go looking for. They just happen to see it.

On that basis I would look for places that would be able to use it.
