Before you see this:

"Munich" by Spielberg

See this:

"Mossad's Revenge" by BBC (on tonight)

And one more thing .....

eff Bedlam boredom!!!

Sounds like the BBC program would be more 'truthful' than Spielberg's movie - but I won't comment! :o:D

A better movie is "Revolution will not be televised"

A documentary about the CIA attempted coup against Chavez. Thank god, democracy has prevailed and the capitalist pigs have failed.

Among the good news this week, Hamas won the Palestinian general election. About time the israelis get a taste of their own medicine. They voted for an extremist (Sharon), they will get an extremist now on the other side for negociating peace. This is how it works when you fail to understand peace is more important than throwing gas on fire. At least Sharon is dead now, so things can only get better for Palestinians.

Now that Hamas is in charge will they be handing out helmets and flack jackets for the civilian population? I mean with all those AK47s shooting up in the air does anyone care? And the tons of explosive materials crossing over from Egypt, one of those truck drivers is bound to light a cigarette. Most of the drivers have lost the keys to the ignition so they have to hotwire those trucks. There's another reason the citizens needs helmets and flack jackets.

I'll keep my eye out for Spielberg's movie. I remember watching the Munich tragedy unfold on the television.

I honestly believe that you are trying to stir here.

Even if i agreed with your statement about Israel voting in an extremist, does two wrongs make a right?I think that you are happy about more people dying, because that's what will happen IMO.

I'm not taking sides, because I think they are both deluded, irrational fcukwits.

Hopefully both sides will want to embrace peace.

No I am just trying to engage Boon Mee :o

Seriously, I don't think without the extremists progress would be made on the Israelis side. You are correct to say that two wrongs doesn't make one right. Unfortunately, nothing is right about that conflict. There was a chance once and the Israelis blew it. They voted for Sharon who made things worse. Now it's time for the Palestinians to fight back instead of waiting to be slaughered. They will put the pressure on the Israelis. At least it will be a clear cut and the hypocrisis of the Bush administration in this conflict will no longer be doubted.

Exactly. Just another lame-o thread hijacking attempt by a self-admitted communist and well-known troll.

After watching this show and seeing the trailers and reviews for Spielberg's flick, I think they are really probably going to be quite different.

The Mossad Revenge show last night was about the state-sponsored campaign to eliminate anyone remotely associated with the Munich hostage taking and assassinations. It follows the campaign from start to finish, culminating in the assassination of an innocent man in Norway and the arrest and prosecution of the hit team.

It was quite an interesting show. I had not known that Ehud Barak was former Israeli special forces and was actually on one of the hit teams who took out one of the bad guys. He is interviewed in the show.

From what I've heard and read, Spielberg's movie tries to capture the overall events from both sides and the then tries to leave the audience with a Rodney King attitude .... "Can't we all just get along?"

But frankly at this point, almost 35 years after the events, with all the facts having been common knowledge for most of that time, what's the real point of the movie?

Anyone would think that you thought the Palestinians were saints. :D At least with Sharon both sides were speaking. Now watch what happens.Maybe the Israelis will shortly vote in a really extreme right winger .......that will make you happy eh?

Sharon was speaking with Palestinians only after a lot of international pressure

where do you get your news ? :D

If the US was really serious about peace in the ME, they would send their marines or the UN to the Palestinian territories. They won't because the "extremist" government of Israel won't let that happen as they know they are guilty of every violation in the book.

What a crock!!! But what else should anyone expect from you??

Every olive branch laid down by Israel in the last 5-6 years has been thrown into the incinerator by Hamas. This group is out of control. There will never be peace until this group starts exhibiting some control, civility and willingness to make changes by some other means than violence.

The UN will never do a thing because they will never elect a leader with any BALLS!! Kofi Annan is a leader in name only. He has turned what little respect the UN retained in the 1990's into a laughing stock joke in the eyes of the civilized world and the extremist world.

The Middle East fanatics are going to have to accept the fact that Israel is not going away and learn to grow up and live with it. The Israeli's are going to have to accept the fact that the Palestinians aren't going away, and learn to coexist on a broader scale.

If they can't work it out, then they need to have a mediator/arbitrator and live with decisions. If the UN had balls, then the UN could be that arbitrator. But they have no ones respect.

Wrong, spee as usual :o

The UN can't intervene because the US pressure the Security Council not to intervene. There was a proposal a few years ago to send UN troops, but the Bush administration threatened to "veto" the resolution. But don't let facts blind you Spee, getting your daily feed from Faux is much more important than facing the truth :D

Might see Munich tonight. Anyone had any insightfull coments on it?

Might see Munich tonight. Anyone had any insightfull coments on it?

Spielberg produced a whitewash of the Palestinians' culpability in the massacre. :o

Meaning?

Somehow, given Spielburgs heritage and past films, I have a hard time thinking he would angle it anywhere close to pro-palestinian.

Added: I'm sure this movie is a kind of thing that no-matter how you turn, you would always be pointing your arse in someones face. So there is always going to be complaints. Most likely from both sides.
