Hello,

Am looking at doing some renovations to an apartment in an older building. Knocking down walls .. .. electrics..plumbing.. floors etc .

Ive done a web search and come up with the following names ...would appreciate feedback on any of them.

1) Bangkok Home Services 2) Shop Houses Bangkok 3) Bangkok renovations 4) Interior Passion.

Any experiences and advice welcome.

If you have any ability at all save yourself a lot of time and hassle and do it yourself.

Many "workmen" here clearly arent and have almost zero skill level.

I built a house here and if you have anyone in youll have to spend all day watching everything they do or you will get a bodge job guaranteed.

2nd that. Though my msz works for a design company and the people she hired were managed by a bloke (wife's friend) that was pretty good. We needed to make weekly visits to keep an eye. That was 5 years ago and everything is still in good nick

Before I sold my condo in BKK I have it painted, really good workmen, (Thai) and great work., decent price.

I am not sure if they do what you need but I 'll try to dig out the number somewhere.

One thing I would add also is "inconsistency"

Example: your friend has Somchai in to re decorate and Somchai does and excellent job and your friend recommends him.

Somchai then comes to your place and does an awful job....................it happens and more often than you might think.

There seems to be little consistency so dont be surprised. .
