Internet... Internet ? Internet !

Hello, in first sorry for my english, like most of french my english is pretty BAD !

I'am in Pattaya right now... I arrive 1 month ago. We decided to live in Jomtien beach condominium... (Seriously don't go here.) Everything was fine... Before we try to connect internet.

They gave to us "Pattaya hostpost" Everybody said (before we pay ;-)) "internet is veryyyyyy fast no problem, we have a lot of customer works on internet and nobody complain about it". Was a lie. Almost a scam for me. Because we work on internet, its very important for us, to have a connexion who WORKS. No need to be fast for DL all night long, we just need to have page loading when we want. And it's not the case. INternet when its works (no in day time...) is very SLOW.

Now we are at the end of month and it's time to us to moove again, because the connexion is bad (and for others reasons)...

We have a lot of option. Today we've been everywhere asking "INTERNET IS GOOD HERE??" "yes, and you have hotwater and fridge!" "INTERNET IS VERY GOOD ??" ;-D

So first question : I heard on your forum, something like 3G truemove aircard is quiete good. I want to have fresh report from it. I have 1 laptop, i want to use internet moslty for surfing. My works its on internet, but i just need page load fast.

If this 3g trumove works perflecty no need to anwser next question, just tel me where to buy it , i will stay in pattaya in good and cheap location, and never ask for internet... Is 3g truemove working well in jomtien ?

If 3g is not good, do you have anyadvice to choose my hotel ? Today i visit a 2bedroom condo. She told me she can setup TOT for me, i just have to pay the setup fee 50/50 with her. 7500THB. Look pretty huge price... i will pay 3500thb++ for setup internet T_T And i heard on the same topic TOT its the worst company in thailand. So now i'am little be cold about this choose (who was my favorite one)

I saw a good hotel in Soi bukao decent room for 10 000thb a month, with modem WIFI on all the floor. She tell me and assure me the connexion is decent. No problem for loading page. For download can be a problem. Sometime internet is slow its because 2 or 3 customer DL porn because they don't have 500thb to spend in a short time.

SOOOOOOO is internet is my priority what should i do... go take my 2bedroom condo with private shit connexion. (Or maybe ask for something stronger like truemove).

Or maybe a sharing connexion in hotel its good ?

Or use 3g.

Please help me. I lose 1 month work in this condo. And i lose 20 000thb because internet no works, i go outiside instead, and i spend money

Truemove 3G aircard is a monthly Plan using a simcard, but has a limit of up to 5GB a month, once that limit has passed, its slow till the next cycle, I have 2 of these cards, both starting at different days of the month, so it helps alittle, just got to pay 2 bills a month, but latly its been very slow even after the next cycle, I would not reccommend it for someone who wants to download or play online alot, Its good for those who use online alittle and dont download very much cause if you download, you use your alloted time quickly, and left with EDGE till next cycle

Internet here is never reliable or fast. Took me a long long time to find a decent connection. Best part it is free with the rent. 15mb download. Now that I've found a good connection I don't think I'll be moving any time soon because it is so hard to come by.

The internet in Thailand is just plain unreleable. It is what it is. You just have to learn to live with it. Plus if you are going to be cheap charlieing it in Pattaya, then I think you really cannot complain when your cheap charlie hotel/condo does not supply a fast internet connection. Not that you would get a fast connection at any hotel, cheap or otherwise.

Suggest when out looking around for a room and internet take the laptop with you and when the manager or desk tells you the internet in their place works good challenge them and say "Oh I have my laptop here with me , can I test the internet system?" If they say no i would move on to look for another place
