Why is it that so many foreigners find it necessary to strip to practically nothing when they get off the plane ?? !! At the very least they are very often an aesthetic blot on the landscape! Never mind modesty! Or lack of cultural sensitivity. Fun to glimpse a trim bod at the pool or walking along the moat, but OMG look around!

and yes I agree .... there are elements of respect in Chiang Mai families

but

you may have a difficult time convincing some here about no bullying or petty crime in our fair city.

Surprised you didn't see the range of bikinis in the small specialist shops in Airport Plaza Billabong, Addidas etc. Robinsons has the Triumph brand or did ,good quality.

My Thai wife wears one but only when we are either away or no one around . Then again she is 43 kgs and in good shape,

I remember when first coming to Bangkok 14 years ago you never ever saw Thai girls/women wearing shorts in a shopping mall now its the norm, which we should be eternally grateful for

should just wear what the big russian women wear on south beaches scant under wear every wave comes top drops then turn backs on waves pants go to knees
