Firefan
Phuket beer have re-started their marketing campaign and you can now get at many venues as well as Villa Etc. Very nice and smooth beer. Red Horse sure kicks butt - but I DO like the taste actually. Made by San Miguel. Cheers!
The Dan Sai Kid
I have to admit I don't mind Leo too much. It doesn't get you as wasted as Chang or Singha. It's not as expensive as Heineken. Man, a beer Chang hangover is a bad, bad thing!
jing jing
I'm in the SangSom/soda camp, but if it's got to be beer, then it's beer Chang. I find that a nice bowl of guaytiaow sen lek muu before heading home usually quells any potential hangover.
ringthebells
as a bar/club owner, I would say heineken beats them all. however that is because my place is mainly frequented by expats.

Tippaporn
When I drink beer I know I start out with Leo but sometimes I'm not sure what I end up with. I prefer Black Label with coke and soda because it's much better for my head the morning (afternoon?) after. A little off topic but . . . I went to a Chinese birthday party for my friend's son's 1st year party. I was pushed to drink a toast with some sort of Chinese alcohol, very dark color and it had the vilest taste which still gives me the willy's remembering it. Also, the after taste seemed to last an eternity. I was drinking beer and every time I belched the taste of this Chinese liquor would come up. Anyone know what that was? BTW, my good Chinese host ended up puking his brains out after he got into his ride home. Edit: Also, for some great fun with your Thai friends turn them on to Tequila. It's like watching an injun get drunk. Loads of laughs. Edited February 6, 2006 by Tippaporn
