Congrats sanook2me

Still waiting here, though starting to stress as now currently out of work :/ due to contract ending

And might have to claim jsa till next job comes up, additional worry on a allready lengthy process as not sure if this would effect the wife's coupe now :/

Interesting thread. One question I did have as a side issue is "Is the visa process put on hold" until the biometrics are done at the Post Office?" It's just that my wife didn't receive the first letter and we only found out a letter had been sent, when we received the follow-up one one month later. I'm guessing this would have delayed things but wasn't sure.

Sorry for the digression.

ILR confirmation letter and our documents arrived via recorded delivery today 20th Feb. Residence permit arrived by separate courier 1 hour later! Citizenship next.....

The RELIEF!

After one 6 mouth touist visa, 1 1/2 years on deemed leave, then 2 x FLR visa's.

That 9 year old boil on my bum that is the British Embassy, The Home Office,ESOL and the UKBA has finally been lanced and OooHhh! that feels nice!

Remember persistence pay's!!!

All the best to everyone else on here, Celebration party to organize................intheclub.gif

Congratulations
Even better feeling when the Certificate of Naturalisation is in your possession! My wife keeps getting hers out and looking at it! She did only receive it on Wednesday though!!

She wore the same skirt for the ceremony that she had worn for her interview at the embassy for her first visit visa (refused), many years ago! Her 'unlucky' skirt now 'lucky'!!

Congratulations!

Received all our documents back today, and a letter confirming my wife's visa has been approved laugh.png

Prior to that there was a card put through our door while we were out, so I'm assuming that's the residence permit.

Thankyou very much to everyone for your help and advice, especially 7by7.

Just feel a massive relief that it has all gone through smoothly, and a huge weight has been lifted from our shoulders.

Update

Recived our documents back today, with wife's ILR biometrics card.

So visa approved.

It's now a huge weight off our minds. Was additional stress as had been out of work since December and I had to claim JSA since end of Jan

Will update the list later

A great way to start the weekend.....letter from UKBA this morning confirming we've got the ILR.

So excited and happy; off to buy some champagne.

They don't make that letter to clear though do they? A straightforward 'you got it' would be far nicer than the waffly crap they write. Can't complain too much though.
