Help! Which Building Is Sri Pat?

Tomorrow, Tuesday I have to take someone to the Sri Pat section of Suan Dok hospital, thats the private section mostly used by foreigners, please can someone let me know which building its in? I think there are three buildings making up Suan Dok, as you go up Suthep Road from the moat, there are two oblong type buildings, then there is the funny shaped semi circular one.

In which building is Sri Pat? I believe the private section is on the 13th floor of whichever building it is?

Thanks a lot. The person I m taking has problems walking so am trying to get as close as possible.

It's the easternmost building in the complex, the one closest to the moat.

Further to the east is the Nursing College, then the water treatment plant, then the moat.

Not sure if it's what you meant but foreigners make up less than 10% of the people who use Sripat. Maybe I didn't read it the way you meant it.

Probably due to so many Thaivisa members recommending it it may come across as appearing predominantly catering to foreigners, but as you pointed out not the case.

He's talking about the private section of SuanDok, Sripot. It's where every farang I know has had their baby. Farangs may make up 10% of the folks at at Sripat but I bet 95% of the farangs having a baby here use Sripat.

I know where he is talking about, thanks. Farangs (and Thais) use hospitals all over the city as well as out in the boonies to have their babies. But Sriphat is popular as is RAM, Lanna, McCormick, etc., etc.

I've heard the parking is really, really bad. The OP should plan on dropping off his friend and then going elsewhere to park. I know people who park at Kad Suan Kaew and take a songthaew to get to Sripat/Suan Dok.

Parking is usually available at a large parking lot located a looong block away. Go West past the hospital and turn left at the first traffic light, you will see the parking lot on the corner you turn left on, the entrance to the lot is down the soi about 30 meters. Free parking, it is about 3 normal blocks to walk back to Sripat, never not found a spot there.

A mini-van leaves every 10 minutes or so shuttling patients back and forth.

Parking is bad here from 8.00 am untill about 11.00 am. Any other time there's enough space. They build a new hospital there. Go left just after the shell gas station at the traffic lights. It's 2-300 meters walking back. You can take the van if you have patience, leaves when it is full..

This is very true about the parking. Every one of our friends has been recommending Sripot to have our baby which is due in about 4 months. I've now been there 3 times for appointments and a tour. That place is a nightmare! My friend's wife just had her baby in the lobby two weeks ago while she was waiting on him to park. No joke. We are going to take a tour of RAM this week. That is where I have always gone for stuff and I can not figure out why someone would want to go to Sripot over RAM. RAM has easy parking, great service and is the nicest looking hospital in CM on the inside. Usual not too many people there either. Sripot is an absolute mad house.

The issue with Sripat, although they do have excellent doctors and treatment...is that they are a semi-private gov't hospital that have many patients who are civil servants, and their families.

I stopped going there a few years ago. As good as the doctors were, and the level of treatment, and the helpful nurses who accompanied you to the x-ray dept, etc.- it's true what was posted above...the place is an absolute zoo. In the sense of very crowded, with loudspeakers going off constantly, etc.

If I'm deathly ill with bronchial pneumonia, or just messed myself up in a motorsai accident, or am running a super high fever....I don't want to sit on a hard plastic chair with 100+ people in that environment, waiting for my number to be called.
